CalGETS Phase I
Become an Authorized CalGETS Provider

The Office of Problem Gambling (OPG), in partnership with the UCLA Gambling Studies Program (UGSP) and The California Council on Problem Gambling (CalPG), is currently recruiting licensed therapists to participate in the CalGETS program. After completion of training, therapists who meet the criteria to become authorized CalGETS providers will be eligible to receive fee-for-service reimbursement from the State of California.
To be eligible for Phase I training, therapists must have:
- a licensed clinical degree, current and in good standing.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
- Doctor of Psychology (PhD)
- Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- no violations or pending actions because of a formal complaint to the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Board of Psychology, or Medical Board of California.
- current malpractice insurance.
- a HIPAA compliant personal computer with internet access.
