California Received Three Awards at the 2018 NCPG Conference

Dr. Richard Rosenthal, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry; Co-Director, UCLA Gambling Studies Program, was awarded The Lifetime Research Award. The Lifetime Research Award is given to honor a person for exceptional long-standing achievement in the field of research to assist problem gamblers and their families.

Terri Sue Canale Dalman, Chief of the Office of Problem Gambling, was awarded the Don Hulen Annual Award for Advocacy. The Don Hulen Awards is given annually to recognize dedication to improving the lives of problem gamblers and their families through advocacy, training, or the promotion of public awareness.

The OPG multi-cultural media campaign received the Corporate Multi-Cultural Communications Award Given to the most effective multi-cultural outreach program using integrated communication channels. The award is based on innovation, ability to reach multi-cultural gamblers and their families and breadth of impact.
